Heritage enhancement
Polychromy, as its name suggests, means “several colours” (from the Greek ‘poly + khrôma’).
Polychromy can be seen on the surface as multiple colours that cover a sculpture, for example.
However, it should also be noted that some works have often been repainted and therefore present several superimposed states or polychrome layers.
Our company ensures the conservation and restoration of polychrome decorations on statuary (wood, stone and plaster), sets of woodwork (altarpieces, ceilings, paintings and furniture), as well as interior decoration projects and the enhancement of your patrimony.
These techniques require patience and moderation in order to ensure the works’ correct legibility, abiding by the imperative that the techniques used are reversible.
