The Atelier du Nombre d’or
In 1991, with 10 years’ experience with the Master Gilders and Conservators of France, Sylvie Schied created her workshop specialising in the conservation and restoration of paintings and gilded furniture.
Established in Luxembourg in 2015, our workshop serves private and public clients throughout the east of France and the Benelux countries.
The workshop is divided into two main areas of expertise, focusing on gilding and restoring pictorial works on any support. We are also skilled in wall decorations on stucco, mouldings, ceilings or painted decorations. All techniques used are traditional, reversible,
and abide by the ethical standards of the heritage and art restoration professions. Our secure workshops are humidity controlled to ensure the best conservation balance for all works of art.
